Our Vision

To build vibrant, creative, and resourceful communities that value people and the planet.

Our Mission

Our Community Project uses people-centred innovation and social enterprise to empower and build access, equity, social action, and community spirit. It seeks to support and motivate, using a citizen-driven approach that recognises the value of all people to contribute.

Our Community Project (OCP) is a charity and a not-for-profit organisation based in Port Kembla.

Make a difference in your community by becoming a volunteer or donating to one of our projects.

Local, Regional, and National Projects.

  • Events

At Our Community Project, we encourage getting out and meeting the people in your area! Check out some of the events you can participate in.

  • Reserve the hall

The Port Kembla Community Centre Hall is available for hire. Its newly refurbished kitchen and halls offer a great place for events, meetings and clubs.

  • What's on in the Hall

Join in some of the great projects held in the Community Centre Hall.

  • Useful links

At OCP, we want to be there for everyone in the community.

So, if you have an issue, problem, or idea then we could help you to take it further, or we could refer you to another association that may be able to help.

Stronger together,

join one of our projects!

Our Community Project acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which our company is located and where we conduct our business. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders, past and present. [Organisation] is committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.

Aunty Lorraine and Aunty Narelle from Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation were engaged last year by Wollongong City Council to upgrade the artwork on the Welcome Totems at the entrance to the Community Centre.
